Official hotels

Delegations and officials will be accommodated at the Gryf Pobierowo Resort and at the REZYDENCJA Holiday Resort.

All teams arriving prior to the official arrival day -August 25th- will be accommodated at the Gryf Pobierowo Resort. Teams arriving on August 25th will be accommodated at the Rezydencja. This hotel is not available for early arrival stay.

Gryf  Pobierowo  Resort

Only one block from the beach, the hotel is located in the town of Pobierowo, 12 minute drive from the marina in Dziwnów (see below a map with the location of the hotel and the club). Depending on the number of members, delegations will stay at spacious rooms or comfortable lodge cabins.

Allocation to rooms and cabins will be made upon reception of booking orders. Availability is limited and delegations reserving late may not be allocated the accommodation of their choice.

REZYDENCJA  Holiday  Resort

Surrounded by tall pine trees, the "residence" is approximately 100 meters from the wide, sandy beach, and from the center of the village. It has two buildings featuring 4 and 5 person rooms, some with private balconies. Each room has a private bathroom and TV. The hotel has its own restaurant and conference room. There is a playground outside, and plenty of space for recreation. The resort is fenced, ideal for children recreation.

Transportation

Transportation on arrival and departure (from the airport to the hotel/club and back) shall be reserved through the online sencond entry form (look for the icon in the registration area).

CHARTERS  &  SUPPORT  BOATS

OPTIMISTS

Charter boats will be provided by CARTER and BLUEBLUE .

Charter boats are NOT MANDATORY, but, as stated in the Notice of Race:

Competitors are only allowed to compete in the championship in boats correctly registered in the country of the competitor or charter boats officially chartered for the championship through the Organising Committee.

Boats will be allocated on a random basis by the Organising Committee under the supervision of the IODA Executive Committee, keeping a ratio of 4:1 (Blueblue : Carter).

EQUIPMENT

Boats will be chartered with:

  • Harken blocks and fittings
  • airbags, hiking straps
  • mainsheet and towing rope
  • rudder, tiller extension, foils
  • Blackgold or MK IV spars
  • paddles and bailers
  • trolley
  • covers

Competitors are allowed to use their own spars, foils, rigging and fittings.

DATES OF PAYMENT

  • March 31st - 50% of fees
  • May 20th - 50% of fees

FEES

Championship days

The charter fee for 11 days (August 25 to September 4 inclusive) will be EU 400 per boat.

Early arrival days

The charter fee will be EUR 40 per boat per day. Boats will be available from August 20th.

Damage deposit

A damage deposit of EUR 150 per boat will be charged upon delivery.

NOTE: DAMAGE DEPOSITS SHALL BE PAID FOR IN CASH ONLY

HANDLING AND CARE OF CHARTER BOATS

As stated in the Notice of Race, competitors shall not modify the boats or cause them to be modified in any way except that:

  • A compass may be tied or taped to the hull or spars;
  • Wind indicators, including yarn or thread, may be tied or taped anywhere on the boat;
  • Hulls, dagger boards and rudders may be cleaned, but only with water;
  • Adhesive tape may be used anywhere above the water line; and
  • All fittings or equipment designed to be adjusted may be adjusted, provided that the Class Rules are complied with.

INSTRUCIONS ON THE DELIVERY AND RETURN OF BOATS

Boats will be delivered only when the Organising Committee confirm that the delegation has completed their entry and there are no pending fees. Moreover, boats will be delivered upon payment of the damage deposits. (cash only)

Team leaders will be asked to sing a delivery receipt listing the equipment included with the boats and the serial numbers when applicable.

At the end of the championship each competitor will return the boat to the boat provider, who will check that all parts are in accord with the delivery receipt and that there is no damage.

If there is damage, the boat provider will deduct from the damage deposit an amount to cover the cost of the repair the boat, or will ask the competitor to pay the difference between the deposit and the cost to repair the damage, if the later is larger.

Once the inspection has finished the boat provider will give the team leader a signed acknowledgement of reception of boats.

Support Boats

A damage deposit of EUR 300 per coach will be charged upon delivery of the boat. The deposit will be refunded at the end of the event provided no damage has occurred.

BOAT ALLOCATION AND REGULATIONS

Championship days

Each boat shall be shared by two coaches.

Delegations pay for 'PLACES' on support boats, and each place corresponds to a coach. The Notice of Race rules on the maximum number of coaches per country.

Allocation of boats to countries will be done by the Organising Committee. If coaches have any preferred country to share the boat with, they may indicate so in the Support Boat Reservation Form. However, the Organising Committee may not allocate the boat according to coaches preferences. The main goal of the allocation will be to have an equal number of competitors per boat. If a country has the right to enter 2 coaches and these two want to share a boat, they shall do so.

Early arrivals

Delegations pay a fee PER BOAT. Boats can be shared with any other country but the delegation that reserve the boat is the one responsible for the payment of the fees.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE DELIVERY AND RETURN OF BOATS

Boats will be delivered once the Organising Committee have confirmed that the delegation have finished the registration and there are no pending fees. In addition, boats will not be delivered if the damage deposits have not been made. (damage deposits to be made only in cash).

Team leaders or coaches will be asked to sign a receipt of delivery, which will have the number of the boat and the equipment delivered with the boat.

At the end of the event coaches shall give the boats back to the provider, who will inspect them and refund the deposits if no damage has occured. IF there is damage, a deduction from the deposit will be made and, if the repair of the damage has a cost greater than the deposit, they will ask for an extra payment to cover the difference.

After the inspection and with all the payments settled, the provider of the boats will give the team leader a receipt acknowledging reception of the boat.

MARINA DZIWNOW, Zeromskiego 30 street.

Dziwnow Marina is located in the town of Dziwnów, 14 km from the official accommodation, in the town of Pobierowo. See the map for the location of both. The marina is within 10 minutes sailing time of the Baltic Sea, where the racing area is located.

INTRODUCTION

Dziwnow is a small coastal village, situated between the Baltic Sea and the river on the Spit Dziwnowskiej strange. Attractive, clean and with wide beaches and warm waters alongside the shore on the Baltic Sea, Dziwnow is a popular holiday resort. The diversity of the water bodies surrounding Dziwnow allow for a variety of water sports like sailing, swimming, diving and fishing. Pobierowo

INTRODUCTION

Pobierowo is a popular resort situated between Rewal and Dziwnow on the high banks of the sea of the coastal forest of pine and spruce. It is the westernmost village on the Rewal coast. Pobierowo has an extensive sandy beach, which encourages the sun and sea bathing, and walking in the air saturated with iodine and magnesium compounds. In addition, good conditions prevail for windsurfing and other water sports. The main and longest street in Pobierowo centre, Grunwaldzka. is Here are many beer gardens, bars and restaurants as well as shops and street stalls selling souvenirs, Confection and amber jewelery. In the evening you can go to the cinema or have fun at the disco. During the summer season Pobierowie hosts many sporting events, festivals and concerts. For children, there ar two large playgrounds in the town centre, and on the beach they can enjoy jumping on inflatable structures, or ride a "banana", or run on the waterslide.
